| Stefan has lived the life of a professional
entertainer since leaving high school in 1979. He has perfected his
art over the years through practice, study, and a rigorous live performance
schedule. Stefan has been developing
over the years to become not just a musician, but a complex entertainer
with many facets. Hence his ability to entertain or perform to any
body of people for any occasion.
A true professional knows the value of further
training. To expand on his already impressive repertoire he has
embarked in training courses in guitar, piano and musicianship,
achieving a Certificate of Jazz at the W.A. Conservatorium.
Stefan has involved himself in theatre training,
musical theatre master workshops and screen test workshops, attending
the Actors Centre in Sydney N.S.W. and the WA Academy of Performing
Arts. He has also studied drama, movement and improvisation. He
is now studying TV and Radio presenting at the Max Rowley Media
Academy.
Stefan has received accolades over the years
for his original music. Winning awards whilst in original bands
and for individual performances. He was elected a 'writer-full member'
of the Australian Performing Rights Association in 1989. In 1999
he was a finalist in the Annual Bridal Industry Awards
Stefan supported almost every major touring
Australian band during the 80's. A good cross section would include
Midnight Oil, Mental as Anything, Hoodoo Gurus, INXS, Paul Kelly
and John Farnham. Stefan has kept some particularly interesting
memoirs on these past performances (currently available on his web
site by clicking here).
In addition to all his training and experience
Stefan has written and self-financed recordings of his original
music. He has written and performed various jingles and voice overs
for radio. Stefan has been interviewed and has played live-to-airs
on several occasions, including televised 'appealathons' and that's
not all...
Additional related activities have included
appearances on Sale Of the Century for three nights, Wheel Of Fortune
for two shows, and Hot Streak for 6 nights in a row. Stefan also
played roles in the Musical Theatre 'Salad Days' (Gilbert and Sullivan
Society).
Stefan regularly writes for two national Internet
publications, proving even more his versatility and his ability
to communicate to the general public.
Stefan comes from a musical family, his
Grandfather having been the head of the BBC Music Department and
writing countless scores for TV, radio and films such as Alfred
Hitchcock's "The 39 Steps". Two of Stefan's uncles were
involved in the British Music industry for decades as composers,
band leaders and copyists, moving on to film making and book writing
in their later years.
