Review: Unless you have as much time on your hands as me, you are probably

and mail from those mysterious Nigerian government officials. Well SpamCop
is a handy filter service that works with virtually any email account.
You simply have your ISP redirect your mail to a SpamCop address, which
then processes it using a huge database of known spam sources and weeds
out the suspect mails so that they can be placed in a holding facility
(where if necessary they can still be retrieved), you then download your
mail pretty much spam free. It's cheap, effective and reputable but be
warned, you may just have to learn to live yourself and be happy just
the way you are.

sits between you and your ISP and processes all your mail before it is
delivered to you, using a host of fingerprinting and spam identification

however, SpamTrap is an Australian service created and run by the dudes
from OzEmail. So if you want the benefits of this extremely cheap service
but don't want your mail coming to you via the antipodes, you can sign
up over the net, make about two changes to your email settings and kiss

way to approach the problem, the 'Do NOT Email List' or DNEL organisation
is trying simply to remove consumers from lists they don't wish to be
on. Formed from a coalition of leading Internet network advertisers DNEL
are trying to reduce spam while preserving legitimate email advertising.
After all, like it or not the Internet has been built on advertising and
it has been the revenue generator that has allowed many of your favourite
websites to flourish. How do you use DNEL? Simply go to their site and

is a filtering program that runs directly out of your email client and
has all sorts of handy features, including a 'Friends List', child protection,
custom filters, automatic updates, adaptive filters (they learn as they
go), the ability to monitor multiple accounts and of course pure and simple
quarantining facilities. A powerful and well appointed product from an
