How much impact can one man have in my life. Not content with giving me a sound byte for every event that happens in the world - from the passing of musical legends, to despots in far off lands, John Howard made it his mission to enslave me. Of all the things he could have reformed - the legal system, the environment, indigenous people, transport, health, education, industry - his grand vision, accountant that he is, was to reform the tax system. Now I and every other business owner in this great country of ours has to focus less on doing what we do best - creating, developing, networking, designing, building - and more on bookkeeping. All so that the black economy can grow even larger, fat cats can get even fatter, and people at the end of the line - consumers - get squeezed ever harder for the precious little disposable income they have left. Thank you Johnny - thank you for wasting my time. Thank you for disenfranchising the general population. Thank you for letting us know just what a great guy Slim Dusty was.
